** Sports Therapy

Sports massage helps in an athlete’s performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries and helps alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity.  Minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse and massage can break them down quickly and effectively to help an athlete train and perform free of pain and injuries. Massage is blended with Swedish strokes using methods such as compression, pressure-point therapy, cross-fiber friction, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy and cryotherapy.

** Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue.  It is also a more focused type of massage that work deeply into the muscles to release chronic muscle tension, aches and pains, and knots.  Undoing chronic knots and tension built up over a lifetime is best achieved with an integrated program that includes exercise, stretching and regular massage.

** Relaxation

Swedish relaxation is the most commonly offered and best-known type of massage and is comprised of five basic strokes and their variations.  They are effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement and vibration.  Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure with a series of manipulations of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to promote relaxation, rehabilitation and health/wellness maintenance.

** Scar Tissue Release

Scar tissue release focus is on lengthening (stretching) the superficial fascia, breaking down adhesions, and increasing lymphatic/blood circulation to the tissue.  Scar tissue releases restrictions of the fascia starting from the point where the scar is visible to the end point where the line of frozen fascia stops.  This is a special modality and can be integrated into the massage treatment recommended for 90 minute session.

** AIS (Active Isolated Stretching)

Active isolated stretching is a flexibility system which re-educates the muscles to function properly and utilizes a full range of motion.  A specific muscle is gently stretched while isolating it to target the fibers at every angle.  The stretch is held for 2 seconds and released.  It can be an adjunction to any massage.

** Corporate Chair massage (on-site)

Seated massage is highly popular at sporting events, health fairs, expos, and many more venues.  The client is fully clothed and the massage focuses on upper body head, neck, shoulders, arms, and back and usually performed an average of 15 minutes.  On-site massage is proven extremely effective in achieving optimum physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being in such a short period of time.  Corporate Chair Massage is becoming a fast growing trend in businesses.  Offer your employees the opportunity to de-stress and rejuvenate providing stress relief in the work place.  When employees feel appreciated, morale is boosted and productivity increases.
